This is super exciting! Although this is not Operation Write Home’s first bloghop, it’s my first participation in one. Until 6 months ago, I’d never done any real papercrafting – let alone make cards. I think the closest thing I’d done prior to that were the ceremony programmes and reception cards at my wedding. Having said that, I’m still learning how to design and make them.
What is a bloghop?
It’s a series of blogs that coordinate their posts according to a theme for a particular day. It’s usually organised as an social media event for visitors to follow, read, and participate in.
More from Operation Write Home:
Bloghop theme: Make thank you cards based on OWH sketches; post the sketch or link to it in your post. Cards can be thanks cards for our heroes to send home – or (much more needed right now), AnyHero cards with notes inside written TO them!

So here are the following card sketches I chose to model my card contributions after:

these are 2 awesome digis I found from forgotten scraps from their Operation TREEHOUSE collections. given that I am a long time mountaineer, climber, and outdoorsman, these images really compelled me.
Agent Cupcake Descending: on the inside of the card (rappeller), it says “. . .for hanging in there for all of us” Agent Popcorn Aiming: on the inside of the card (shooter), it says “. . . for aiming high for all of us.” these were really fun images and I look forward to making more of these. |

this digi is also from the forgotten scraps from their Operation TREEHOUSE collection.
Agent Bubblegum Spying: I added the sentiment to the digi using microsoft word |

I like these cards, but I think I could have done a better job on the stamping. . . feels like something is missing even though I followed the sketch template pretty closely. |
