I made a group of mothers’ day cards from a set I started a few months ago. The original ones were just AWFUL, but this is what I was able to salvage from them. Not my best work, but certainly an improvement from where they were. One thing I really want to learn is how to make those amazing layered flowers that I’ve seen … not the big 3d ones, but flat ones that have texture and can still be mailed.
march is national “crafting month” … so every major craft retailer is having these amazing 40-50% off sales . . . what did I do? I binged on my new obsession by spending $700+ on supplies, tools, and organisation items . . . oh yeah, its bad.
I now have a silhouette cameo, cricut expression 2, and a cuttlebug . . . all with loads of accessories, cartridges, etc . . . not to mention several sets of copics (around 180 markers), myriads of punches and crop-a-diles, a rolling crafting case, and dozens of assorted cases, bins, and storage containers . . . I boughts dozens of clear stamps, inks, watercolour pencils, ribbons, brads, washi tape, and other embellishments . . . there’s over 1000 A2 envelopes waiting to be filled with several dozen paper books, packs of shimmer cardstock, and at least 2 legal file cabinets full of cardstock waiting to be made into cards . . .
no glitter, though. that would make cards a hazard for servicemen. click here to find out why.
